Right-Handed Reliever Signs with Lincoln

Right-handed Pitcher Tyler Jacobson (Rookie) has signed with the Lincoln Saltdogs. Jacobson spent the 2004 season with Oneonta (Class-A Short Season) of the New York-Penn League. With the Oneonta Tigers, Jacobson went 1-0 with a 3.10 ERA in 19 game appearances, all in relief, striking out 17 in 29 innings pitched.

Jacobson, 6' 2" 205 lbs., will celebrate his 22nd birthday on May 5th. The Santa Clara, CA native was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 19th round of last year's draft and assigned to Oneonta.

The Saltdogs exhibition schedule begins May 11th, as the Saltdogs travel to Sioux City to face the Explorers; May 12th the Saltdogs will play Sioux City in Columbus, NE; May 14th the Saltdogs host the Kansas City T-Bones, then will close out the exhibiton season on the road at Kansas City on May 15th.

The Lincoln Saltdogs are scheduled to open the season at 7:05 pm on Friday, May 20th in Sioux Falls, SD against the Sioux Falls Canaries at Sioux Falls Stadium.

The 2005 home opener is set for May 23rd against the Winnipeg Goldeyes at 7:05 pm at Haymarket Park. For tickets call 474-BALL.
